Cape Town. Why did you pick Jo'burg or Cape Town? I could have been from Polokwane

Most of the people on forums from South Africa are either from one or other of those places.

I guess that is where the majority of the population with internet access are situated, granted. Most of the South Africans I meet online are either from Joburg or Cape Town as well, so I can attest to that.

I was there a couple of times. One I can never forget as it was 9/11 and we watched the WTC collapse. Didn't get a lot of work done that day as the group had a dozen Americans, some of whom had relatives in New York that worked close to the WTC. Fortunately nobody I knew had any friends/relatives killed or injured in the attack although a couple were quite close by and saw the whole thing.

Wow, those are some stunning pics. Sounds like you had a nice time. That's intense about the WTC disaster.

I'll take a photo of where I work this evening when I leave work and post it here tomorrow. It's also close to Table Mountain, although the view from pretty much anywhere in this city is beautiful.

That is quite true Table Mountain dominates the whole city. We took a helicopter ride over it once, that was fun as the laws governing insane flying in SA are considerable more lax (I.E. non-existent) where you are. Pelting along the beach below the palm tree height was exhilarating to put it mildly.

I am very upset today. There are many stray cats in the neighborhood and two stand out. One large male, and one female, which is pregnant. Today I found the female dead. No signs of illness last night, I just woke up and found her dead. And the male, has been limping for a few days. I cried so hard. But I vowed to try to take the male to the vet. Even though he is friendly and comes running when he sees me, I don;t know how he will react when I put him in a kennel. But I don;t care. I prefer him to hate me and be well.
