No I wasn't being entirely serious.
Ye Putin isn't a very nice chap but at least he seems rational, the Tea Party types don't seem entirely sane.

Putin's sane enough to get himself re-elected, by whatever means. He's infinitely more dangerous

I've said it before and I'll say it again.  Santorum is probably one of the most dangerous candidates out there.  If elected let's see if Woman can even retain our rights to vote much less be able to have a say in what happens to our own bodies.

My Roman Catholic, Ph.D. in History mother was dead against combining Church and State.  Most likely she studied enough to know that no good can come out of it.  (She was also pro choice, go figure.)

I'd love to see somebody actually try to take away the vote from American women. The resulting blood bath would be quite spectacular!

And it looks like this guy's going to win my state's primary. (EDIT: Actually it was just a projection. They haven't even started counting the votes yet as they're still voting.)

I am so ashamed to live here. Not like any of the Republican candidates are good, but you know... Santorum... He's the worst of the worst.

He's fighting off the gay with both hands now.

Something I'm sure he has nightly dreams about.

QuoteHe's ok with government mandated divorce on 18,000 married couples? That seems like a worse attack on the sanctity of marriage these clowns like to flaunt so much.

And, as far as I know, hasn't called for making divorce illegal across the board -- something far more consistent with Christ's teachings than fussing about gay people.

That's a good point BCE. If one is pro-marriage one should be anti-divorce. Yet as you mention I don't see anybody standing on an anti-divorce ticket.

Of course not.  Can't risk alienating all of those "traditional values" divorcees.  Don't ya know, my sin is always less sinful than yours?

Most of them in the South, interestingly enough, which is not only the most traditionally Xtian and conservative area of America, but also has the highest divorce rate.  Go figure.
