I haven't seen a y new movies here lately. But I have watched some that were older, Like Friday, Pirannah, and White Noise. I thought they were good. I'm looking forward to watching Chronicle. Anyone seen it yet?

I saw Chrinicle last night. It it cleverly done and thoroughly entertaining. The ending was obvious, overall an 8 out of 10.

Oh yeah,,forgot to report back. I really liked the King's Speech. :)!!
The chemistry between the two male characters were great. And I loved the ending. I can easily see why it was best movie of 2011.

I watched the film Tyrannosaur over the weekend, its absolutely amazing though hard to watch at times but amazing nevertheless.

I'll need to find this one and give it a watch, I just watched the youtube clip you left us and read a couple write-ups, it looks really interesting... although as you said, it also looks like it could be hard to watch at times. I really like British movies, they're often so 'out of the box' different than the typical American Hollywood stuff, and a lot of them I've seen really make you think.

I thought Red Road was riveting up to the point it gave away its secrets and that it sagged badly in the last 20 minutes, but nevertheless well worth seeing.

Red Road and Naked are two great ones, too, if you haven't already seen them.

Geoffrey Rush and Colin Firth are two of my favorite actors, and I loved the moment when the King and Mrs. Logue met -- first time I've seen Firth and Jennifer Erle together since Pride and Prejudice.  What bugged me was the people claiming afterwards that The King's Speech was pro-Nazi.  Talk about taking things too far.

Yeah, I never got support for Nazism out of the film. And I also loved that moment when he and Mrs. Logue met. :) Colin Firth is one of my favourite actors, too. I really enjoyed his character in Love Actually, which is a favourite of mine.

Tonight I saw a movie that was kinda cute -- Our Idiot Brother. Some funny scenes in it for sure. Paul Rudd really gave the movie some heart, it was cute, and entirely over the top, lol.

How the fudge was it pro Nazi? Because they complimented Hitler's ability to command attention and make a great speech? Yeah, so what?

That's as pro nazi as The Sound Of Music. *eyeroll* American audiences need to up their INT points.

Trust me, I don't know, but I remember it turning up in a number of reviews and I think it was centered on the King admiring Hitler's ability to speak well in public.  As if that's unusual for someone with a stutter that bad.

Pro Nazi?  That's weird, they portrayed people who may have thought Hitler was OK before the war.  What are they supposed to do, rewrite history?

Exactly and one of the primary reasons that King Edward VIII was forced to abdicate.

May have thought, or actually did think?  "May" isn't history.
