I think I'm going to watch Holmes this week, but I will have to do it forever alone.

The new Holmes has Noomi Rapace who was Lisbeth in the original Girl with a Dragon Tattoo movies. The English Girl with a Dragon Tattoo is out next week. The original movies and the books are good, I hope the new one is too because I'm going to watch that one next week.

Whoa yes!! I just read the three books. Can't wait to see the film - I just hope I'm not going to be disappointed.... although I probably will be.  I normally try and avoid the film if I've read the book but I'm just too curious to let this one go.

I saw Holmes last night. It was fun, like the original. There was the steam punk thing, the will they won't they thing with Holmes and Watson, and a much better villain than the first film.
I want bad people to look forward to and celebrate the day I die, because if they don't, I'm not living up to my potential.

Watched the Book of Eli on HBO last night, no bad.  Mila Kunis was super hot  :-*

I so want to see this, I may go Xmas day after church since everyone in my family too under the weather for a get-together.  What I loved about the first Downey/Law Holmes is that they finally got Dr. Watson right.  He was my favorite character in the books and Jude Law is only missing the limp to be exactly as Conan-Doyle described him.

Watched the Sherlock Holmes movie yesterday.  It was 1000x better than the Mission Impossible movie...although I did fall asleep a few times the Holmes movie.  Some explosions kept waking me from my slumber.  I'd say I saw 85% of it.  Really liked what I did see.

The Magic Pudding

I didn't like the first Sherlock movie all that much.  Robert Downey Junior just seemed to be portraying Robert Downey Junior, that seems to be what he does.  That may be OK for Iron Man but for the iconic cerebral English character it's a fail.

This very short Sherlock TV series did OK bringing Sherlock into modern times.

Saw X-men first class, it was disappointing, I liked Wolverine movie the best, then the first two X-men, the third was OK but not great, this new one was pretty dull.

Saw Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows prt I. I had to stop it early on and google the previous movie to make sure I hadn't missed one and also to remind me of what happened in it. I think I had watched the Half Blood Prince almost 3 years ago so couldn't remember where the story line was at.

Just watched Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol  Eh...it was ok.  We had bought tickets for the Sherlock Holmes initially, but someone wanted to see MIGP...so we switched our tix.  I have a feeling we would've had a better experience with Shirley.

Saw this tonight. It is a popcorn flick through and through. So many plot holes and things just over-looked. But it was fun, flashy, and that Russian assassin was smokin' hot (as was the female agent- and the chick fight appealed to the adolescents).

Saw Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol yesterday. If you go in with the mindset of that like James Bond movies, you'll like it.
I liked it.
The essence of the mind is not in what it thinks, but how it thinks. Faith is the surrender of our mind; of reason and our skepticism to put all our trust or faith in someone or something that has no good evidence of itself. That is a sinister thing to me. Of all the supposed virtues, faith is not.

I saw persepolis again for the second time. I like it, even though at the middle the movie seems to move a bit slow

I love that movie. The book itself is also worth reading, as it adds a bit of detail that got left out of the movie.

We saw the Tintin movie over Christmas and really liked it, though the chase scene on the motorcycle towards the end was a little too crazy and not really keeping in the spirit of the character. Oh well  ;D
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy was not bad, but really slow at times, and nothing too shocking at the end.

I went to see Hugo with a friend of mine and was blown away by how amazing it was. We originally picked it because there was nothing good playing in the other theaters, but boy was I glad that I did.

I have been wanting to see Warhorse really bad. I saw the play on youtube and thought it was great.

I watch a lot of films from the 60s and 70s, and watched a very funny one last night, The Landlord.
