Antimatter belt around Earth discovered by Pamela craft

QuoteA thin band of antimatter particles called antiprotons enveloping the Earth has been spotted for the first time.

The find, described in Astrophysical Journal Letters, confirms theoretical work that predicted the Earth's magnetic field could trap antimatter.

The team says a small number of antiprotons lie between the Van Allen belts of trapped "normal" matter...

So a substance that was not even a speculation a couple of hundred years ago is now discovered in abundance!

So when the UFOs pass through there, their hulls will gradually get thinner.  Just imagine being abducted by beings from Fooplegloop, then just when they're about to do a bit of probing, the bloody hull goes pop.

Man, am I glad to live in the age of sience. How cool is this!

I mean, a lot of the stuff we read about in sci-fi books might actually be possible before any of us kick the bucket.
