Yeah, the "staggering baby dear" walk isn't that great.

*snerk*

I'm back to my normal attire today.  I've got these awesome flats that look dressy from the top but are basically tennis shoes on bottom.  I actually ran in them one time at the gym when I forgot to pack my trainers, and it was fine.  Yay for sensible shoes.

OooOoo where'd you get them?
Edit: That's right, fellas. I'm going to turn this into a shoe thread!

I got mine at Kohl's, but they are basically like this:

http://fashionbug.lanebryant.com/shoes/skechers-reg-sneakers/skechers-reg-step-up-mary-janes/13833c5112p33364/index.pro?sid=FEEDFB:Goog&mcid=FEED&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=33364

When I say "dressy" I mean "dressy enough for business casual.

They're cute! And they look comfy!
"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

Thanks!  They are super comfy.  I feel like I'm "getting away with something" wearing them every day to work since we're not allowed to wear tennis shoes (except on casual Fridays.)

not to derail the shoe thread, but I just paid a deposit on my new home, and it's got wheels  :D the wandering gypsy life beckons for the next year or so

Sounds exciting, what made you decide on the travelers life?
I sold my flat at the end of January, and fancy seeing a bit of the world. Very bored of doing the same thing week in week out, so am (hopefully) starting a year's sabbatical in April, and going to travel Europe in a motorhome. I've wanted to do it for years, and I've finally now got the finances to be able to.

Do you have any plans for locations yet?
I'm not one for plans, but I think we'll be driving around the UK between mid-April and mid-June because a couple of my girlfriend's friends are getting married in June, then across the channel to tour France and Germany until mid-August, then down through Italy to Sicily, then back up to Croatia for October / November then across to Spain and Portugal (and maybe Morocco) to winter in some relative warmth. Hopefully it will all pan out something like that, but we'll just play it by ear and spend the most time in the places we end up liking best

Yeah, it's a voice assistant for iPhone.

I just gave my horse a full body deep tissue massage. Is that spoiled or what?

Only a little bit. Haha. I have to stretch his back and hips and massage him because his hips are prone to going out. Just how he was built. To see him nearly fall over with relaxation makes it worth it though.

Well do tell us how your daughter gets on.

She qualified for the nationals in Western Australia 4,316.4 km away.
She'll get to stick her toe in the Indian Ocean.

The Civil Wars have just been interviewed on BBC Breakfast show. They are awesome! You may or may not like their music but you can't deny their talent.

This is the best I can find ATM, and it's crap compared to what they did this morning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZhIm-XtZIk

I think I almost died last night. I was in Warsaw at the hospital with my mom. I was waiting in the OB waiting room for her to finish working when a lady over the speakers called a code red and the fire alarms went off. When there is a fire alarm goes off, the regular doors lock and the exits unlock. The waiting room was windowless an the only two doors were an emergency exit and the door to the rest of the hospital. Well, lucky me got the one emergency exit that wasn't working, so the door wouldn't open. There was also no service in the room, so I couldn't call anybody. And there was no one there. I'm pretty sure I saw my life flash before my eyes. The room didn't have any instruction on what to do in an emergency. Then after about 15 minutes of me panicking, they went over the loudspeaker saying it was a drill. I was so scared. Afterwards, I had to tell the administration about the faulty door.

That's horrible!!!!  Glad it was just a drill.  Think of it this way, you may have saved someone's life in the case of a real fire.  You're a hero! *HAF members carry Bud around on their shoulders*

I'm going for a 90 minute massage today.  Got a good deal on Groupon.  I can't wait!!!  (Vinnie can be jealous of me today!)
