When my mom went over to one of her friend's house (which happens to be one of my best friend's mom) my friend started to tell her that I couldn't wait to move out of my house and began throwing it in her face. She was trying to make my mom feel bad. I'm planning on confronting her tomorrow and all I can think of is how to handle this without losing my cool. I believe this might be the end for us because she's done weird stuff before.  :sigh:

Just thinking about how translating stuff is torturously boring. I'm definitely not cut out for this...

I'd like to thank everyone who has contributed to the Narcissism thread. I especially am enjoying the anthropological offerings.

I was just stripped of moderator privileges from a general forum for questioning someone's (a very emotional, reactive Christian, and I don't say this hastily) sources in an argument about "militant atheism" :drool

I truly think it was haha. She replied with (in far more caps lock than I wish to use) "Well I don't care if the source is accurate or not!!! It still proves my point!!!!".

There's apparently a lot on my mind today, since I just got out of the shower, started to blow-dry my hair, and then realized I didn't wash the conditioner out.  :sigh:

Just finished pulling carpet/padding/tack strips out of one room and putting down vinyl tile.  The room really needed it, the carpet was close to 40 years old.  It looks so damn good in there I'm very tempted to do the hallway, computer room, bathroom, kitchen and laundry (which was already planned, I even have enough tile for it already).  I calculated the prices and it'd be under $150 for all of it......... Including the 60 mile (one way) drive into town to pick up said supplies and possibly lunch while there.

Decisions, decisions.  The one thing I hate is having to use the angle grinder to remove the tack strip nails as they are nailed into the cement foundation.  All that metal dust, and the smell.....
