OK, so it's just an MSNBC poll but, hey, why not?  The votes are a disgusting 84% against removing the words and only 16% for it at the moment.  

Anyway, here is the poll.

I asked a friend to make a bot for it. It should be up and running in the next hour.

Someone else already created a bot for the other side (judging by the incredible nearly 11,000,000 votes).

I wouldn't be surprised, though, if some of that 84% are agnostics or atheists who simply wouldn't mind it being on there for preservational or nostalgiac purposes.

Personally, I can't vote on the matter becasue it makes no difference to me what my money says, as long as I can still spend it.

Yeah, I know what you mean, it's annoying. But those people are idiots and even if the line was removed they'll just start pointing out that we have some god-fearing forefathers' portraits on our money, and in general they'll always find elements of our history to help support their "America is a Christian country" propoganda.

The USA is a Christian country.  Indeed, the history of the nation supports this assertion, for instance, the treatment of American Indians. Such people, like John McCain, are very ignorant when it comes to money and what the US was founded on. They probably think that the currency has always had In God We Trust printed on it.

Just like Miss Anthrope, I do not care what my money has printed on it as long as I can still spend it. 99% of the time, I do not have the "motto" in my mind or even see it on the currency. All what I think or see is nickel, dime, quarter, dollar, etc. Details do not concern me unless its the year since I am a coin collector who has a collection of old coins.
