Yes, I know, but just can't see it in fruit cake.

Even with a nice piece of really mature cheddar, but it has to be dark, high cocoa choc. That's part of my "ch" diet: chicken, chirozo, cheese, chocolate, chillis, chappatis . . . All together once, it was an, er, experience!

Last xmas food shopping done, went by bus - good thing, the car pack was full of prowling motors looking for temporary lairs. No loose oardnips for roasting, had to settle for sweet potato and carrots. Loads of gaps on the shelves but whole hoards of harrassed looking people.

Must be Annual Car Wash Day as well, one in the bay and six waiting! Maybe that's hubby not being able to find a parking space so just making use of that bit of territory to do two jobs?

Not going near that supermarket until Wednesday now!
Tomorrow is precious, don't ruin it by fouling up today.

Heheh. Luckily for me I live just a block away from a supermarket, no need to go by car and fight for a parking space (I have been practicing my angry glare for confrontational drivers).

Dragonia, that teeny weeny town may not even be there anymore.  It is somewhere over there near Fort Stewart if I remember rightly.  In the olden days the town was not only known for fruit cakes but also as a wicked hill billy speed trap. I hope that it has outlived both its reputations.

We have.  ;D

I always think the same when I see Jacob Bronowski, in "The Ascent of Man" (1973) having to sit at the keyboard and screen of a large frame computer to get a very simple wire-frame image of a vase.

Hah! Discovered a new way to get slivers of garlic under the skin of my chicken before I roast it. Used to slide slivers into slits.

Now I will try a large bore stainless steel delivery needle on a 1ml syringe. Just "punch" a sliver out of the tooth with the needle and inject it. Might need some olive oil in the syringe. Tried it first with just air; that compressed and then, all of a sudden, the sliver shot across the kitchen like a bullet!

Sorry, but that is really funny; wish I could have seen that.

I am still looking for that sliver, the kitchen smells very strongly of garlic that I can'tt cook or wash away. There was quite a pop, like the "spud guns" we had as kids.
