Personally, I don't mind if I'm banned.  I have not been known for losing excessive amounts of sleep recently over who likes me/bans me, etc, on this forum

What about the question I posted about how to start a new poll? You should know, if anybody.  That is, if you haven't banned me already.

So what is the answer?  I want to start a new onlyme popularity poll.  For amusement purpose only, you understand.

Incidentally, as a matter for the public record, I don't intend responding to people who have shown an intense dislike for me in the past.  
Not to name any names (I'm thinking of a matriarchal sea creature with tentacles).  You are safe, all you people who don't like me.  I am not interested in talking to people who aren't interested in talking to me.

Are semantics and dogma the only thing people of this world understand?  I found out differently.  If you disagree, fine.   But my brother, my own flesh and blood, when he comes to me, I will try to help him in that need.

Think what you will. I will continue to live for today.   When I see a need, I will try to meet it.  You may criticise.  That's ok.   Criticise.  It might be you next.

If my faith doesn't translate into real, practical help and advice for my fellow human beings, then it means nothing, to me, or the people I'm supposed to be helping.

Oh I'm not mocking you at all. You have consistently misread that from my posts. I'm just telling you that I won't explain to you how to do something a second time. You have all the information you need to go look back at the old posts. You just need to be a bit less lazy about it. By going back yourself you will show that you are actually willing to walk the talk.

I was already there for you, by the way. You proved to me that my defending you was a mistake by your arrogance and lack of humility. That is why I have had nothing more to do with you until now. Now get down to business, look up the old posts and there might be something to be accomplished. Otherwise, it's no skin off my nose. As I've said numerous times to you already, "I've been where you are now." But you haven't been where I am. So are we going to fish or just cut bait?

Let's say we wanted someone to leave this forum of his own free will.  We know that banning him will not work, and ignoring his posts only seems to encourage him to make more posts.  He is inconsiderate of basic forum etiquette and claims it is not his fault.  We have made attempts to educate him on the proper way of doing things and have instructed him in the past, and yet he does not seem to learn from our tutelage or his mistakes.  He adds nothing intelligent to our conversations and frequently derails us with off-topic questions.  He knows this is an atheist forum and yet he insults our beliefs with his fundamentalist content.  He thinks he is doing us a favor by being here and spreading the word of the lord even though we have marked him with the "shame on me" Troll for Christ.  


How do we get rid of this guy?  Would voting him off actually convince him to leave?


Say this guy was stupid enough to use his full name and provide us with the name of the town in which he resides.  Would it be OK to display his home address and phone number?  

This guy left of his own free will before, but came crawling back.  Maybe his home-life in unsatisfying.  Maybe we should write a letter to his wife asking her to intervene in our behalf.

I'm not saying we would ever take these drastic measures.  Just thinking out loud.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.   I don't intend to pander to the wishes of those who wish to draw me into an argument.  But if you were on the side of the road, needy, who would you rather be within reach of you?
