i am contemplating returning to Religion.

it is apparent to me that the only explanation for donald trump getting so many unrelated things going his way is that he has Sold His Soul to the Devil.

i wish it were that simple. he's clearly trying to work above his level of competency in appearances, whatever his skills still are in actual governing.

his candidacy is a purely party decision. the democrats could convene and decide to replace him with a spotted pig and they would be within their legal rights to do so. but of course, the republicans would instantly take them to court to try to make a mess of the process.

the real issue is that time is now short, nobody is an obvious replacement, and whoever would be selected would have to go begging for money from the american oligarchs who are trying to impose influence right now.

in america, elected office is bought and sold to the highest bidders. we'll be seeing this process go public here in a week or two, i think.

Who could replace Biden as Democratic nominee? this made interesting reading to an onlooker like me.

Kamala Harris would be a great replacement. She has the right DEI qualifications; is very beloved (37% approval rating) and is as well spoken and competent as Biden .

she has already been picked as the person to succeed biden in the evnt of his death. has anything changed?

to not choose harris as the successor means that she was the wrong choice as VP in the first place.

plus, she has access to the money right away.

but the oligarchs have major influence in the democratic party. they have th emoney, and its the money that matters.

they want a return on their investment.

I guess the alt-right press will dredge up something for us to not like her for, at least in their minds. My son came home at his lunch time and repeated some horseshit about her raving in a speech. I asked him if it was one of his eejit co-workers, and he said yes. I went to Snopes.com, and it is indeed one of those things where the right dubbed in babble. They're not going to do anything with that kind of crap but impress their already gullible cult followers. He keeps sipping their kool-aid. I'm going to have a chat with him about checking that kind of crap before he repeats it to me. It aggravates the crap out of me to hear it, because anyone who can parse a few facts can tell it's BS, or at least check it before repeating it. I'm pretty sure he's voting democrat again. He sure as hell ain't voting for the chump.

Harris is smart and articulate, having been the state attorney general for California, as well as a senator. Now, I'm truly relieved that the uncertainty with Biden is behind us. The chump is now calling for him to step down immediately.
