My 1st daughter came home from a much larger town/city to stay for six months a few back.
She left for university eight years ago, (did phycology) she visited frequently.
She's the smaller person in this photo:

She's got an internship/job that pays  :)

Daughter two is off to South Africa to compete in another world championship.
That's her grooving on a plastic trumpet.

Adorable!

September is a rainy month, so I went to the local store to buy an umbrella. I have a tolerance threshold for searching for items in a supermarket, which isn't very high. So after searching for a couple of minutes I approached a store clerk and asked him where the umbrellas were.

"Onde estão as umbrellas?"

"Huh?" :wtf:

"Umbrellas. Onde estão?"

:no idea:

It was then that it hit me that I was saying 'umbrellas' in English.  ::) I faked dementia and walked down a random aisle in search of the things I had forgotten the Portuguese word for.

You should talk to the forum's resident brainist about this dementia.

 Are you implying the dementia was real?  :foottap:

:P

It happens. Every now and then I forget words in Portuguese and in English...that's why the best option is to speak a mixture of the two languages!

I was simply saying the brain is an odd device. And perhaps the forum's brainist, could assist you in understanding why it is so odd.

That it is. :smilenod:

This is beyond my expertise. I shall seek out the forum's brainist! ;D

Is that Portulish or Engluguese depending on which one dominates?

What's on the Gray Mind..? Ratties, spite and evil deeds, of course! He is the God of those things, after all. Mostly ratties, though. Specifically, this rattie;

Are you then a figment of imagination, Asmo?

Asmodean

Yep. :smilenod: One of the benefits of omnipresence, is that it makes one a figment of imagination as well as a bunch of other stuff... Pervert comes to mind...

...Nevermind that! Yep. Totally a figment! :smilenod:

Have you ever replaced your pet rat?
You insensitive bastard, Asmo's rat was irreplaceable.

OK, I'll try again.
After your rat, your most excellent rat, the most excellent that ever was or will be, crossed the giant rainbow, did you between then and now get another rat?

Multiverse

OK, I'll try again.

After your rat, your most excellent rat, the most excellent that ever was or will be in this universe and all existing and possible universes crossed the giant rainbow, did you between thens and nows, get another rat?
Take my advice, don't listen to me.
