Quote'I don't know what you mean by "glory,"' Alice said.

Humpty Dumpty smiled contemptuously. 'Of course you don't--till I tell
you. I meant "there's a nice knock-down argument for you!"'

'But "glory" doesn't mean "a nice knock-down argument,"' Alice objected.

'When _I_ use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, 'it
means just what I choose it to mean--neither more nor less.'

'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you CAN make words mean so many
different things.'

'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master--that's
all.'

Alice was too much puzzled to say anything, so after a minute Humpty
Dumpty began again. 'They've a temper, some of them--particularly verbs,
they're the proudest--adjectives you can do anything with, but not
verbs--however, _I_ can manage the whole lot of them! Impenetrability!
That's what _I_ say!'

I some times share Alice's puzzlement with strangely defined words.
So I hereby ironing board the Humpty Dumpty award for strangely defined words.

How about 'god' for starters?

I hate trout. After spending almost every weekend fishing this summer, I've still yet to hook a trout. They jump right where I'm casting just to taunt me. Jerks. Eff 'em.
Prayers that need no answer now, cause I'm tired of who I am
You were my greatest mistake, I fell in love with your sin
Your littlest sin.

Yeah, that's one way of doing it. Or so I'm told. They are crafty little bastards though and I think they just toy with me. They are such good eating, but they just don't like getting caught. So instead I've been stuck with more catfish than I want because they're super easy to catch. Oh well, maybe in the spring i'll finally get some of them.

And at least I've gotten a killer tan out of all the trips. That's a bonus.

I hate moving :( We're moving to Ottawa Thursday and we have to gut out our apartment and I'd rather chop off my own legs.

But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

You know what's worse..? Moving with a vengeful flu-like condition spreading misery and slowing you to a crawl.  >:(

That would be worse. Though I do have a toddler and two cats and they excel at slowing all house-related projects :( But I'm glad I'm not feeling icky *knocks on wood*

My antibiotics are covered in a a small film capsule. If I leave the pill in my mouth for more than a few seconds I taste something akin to something very very unnatural in nature. Me no gusto.  >:(

It is 02:37 in the morning and I am almost done with Dawkins book, The God Delusion. Which makes me think: I enjoy his writings and appreciate his understanding of biology. He is also much more apt at punctuating his beliefs in a more pleasant way than I ever could dream of. Since this is the first book of his that I am reading I am somewhat disappointed. I don't know why, but I feel as though he didn't enlighten me as much as I hoped he would. Almost everything he said was already in my head just not spelled out. Does anyone know which book of his is most complex and makes you think?
Well all his other books are about biology rather than theism. What were you looking to learn about?
Honestly, I don't know what I am looking for. I just want something interesting. Maybe something funny and educational at the same time. Not something "preaching to the choir" but still staying on the non-believers genre.

Difficult to answer that as there are only so many ways to say 'I don't think God exists.' I read 'The Blind Watchmaker' by Dawkins and that expands on the 'Intelligent Design' vs Evolution and explains why ID is wishful thinking.

I just picked up my glasses.  My eyes are working on adjusting but I'm already amazed by little things like being able to see the hairs on the dog clearly from far away and other stuff that I just didn't think could be seen without being up real close.  Text on the screen not being blurry is a big plus too.  Somehow I made it all the way to 29 without realizing my eyes were this bad.

Congrats Whitney! Woo, new glasses I need em too. X_x

When I got my first glasses, it was like a new world.  I couldn't believe how bad I'd got, either.
