Yeah, I used to live next door to a guy who collected and had ambitions of restoring such-like, so... Seen some weird and wonderful stuff. He even had most of a Laffly artillery tractor - one with them tiny huwheels hanging from the front bumper. French, I think. Had to be French. :smilenod:

Speaking of bad snows, we are expecting two-three feet of the stuff over the next 24 hours. The media has been doomsaying for days now, and yet... Here I am, at work, to huwhich I drove a car... Expecting to maybe muddle through this time just like before. :smilenod:

elon musk's net worth is $486,000,000,000. if elon spent a million dollars a day, every day of the year, it would take him 1342 years to spend all his money.

Billy, the cold front or snow front as it were, did not come as far south as Mid Florida.  It did bring some cold weather but no snow or ice.  AAahhh!  it was nice today, about 72F and livable for semi tropical dudes like me.

it was well below zero F for some time about 10 days ago. the water pipes froze up, the washing machine froze up, the dogs water dish in the kitchen froze up.

watering the animals outside required a sledgehammer to empty the pan so we could add liquid water so they could dtink.

better now. only 18 F and maby 36 F in the midday.

We're largely getting above-freeszing during the day and below-freezing at night. Those surfaces that did not manage to melt when we had some very warm days are now covered in ice so hard it might as well be concrete. My spiky soles do nothing. :sadshake:

It is pretty pleasant to drive though, as most main roads are paved and pavement being dark in colour, it has mostly melted down to grippy surface. It's getting to and from the damned car that's the problem.

We get a bit higher temperatures now during the day (11 degrees) and night (4 degrees).
