My boyfriend was raised in a Sikh household but identifies as spiritual. He believes in god as a manmade label for the forces of the universe; however, he also believes in souls and reincarnation. I used to share his concept of god but as I researched theism and reassessed my views, I rejected all forms of the concept. I enjoy telling him about my views and hearing about his but lately I feel like my total rejection of god dissapoints him a little. He's usually very open-minded. Does anyone have any thoughts or advice?

The essence of the mind is not in what it thinks, but how it thinks. Faith is the surrender of our mind; of reason and our skepticism to put all our trust or faith in someone or something that has no good evidence of itself. That is a sinister thing to me. Of all the supposed virtues, faith is not.
