Hey, I'm a conservative college student who has a learning disability (aspergers) so I'm not a troll. I've recently converted to atheism because I've received a sudden sense of things, like a stroke of genius. I'm really an Atheist. I was raised Christian, my parents are radicals but I was in the shower one day and the thought hit me: let's test religion out using common sense. Well, it took less than 1 second to realize that if I'm here, I've never seen God, and the world is the way it is then God can't be real. If he was, he would have left evidence like the rabbis tried to conjure up. Now, I believe the planet earth was created by a different being. Such as aliens. Really. I know it's weird, but to me the big bang still just doesn't fit. That's the story of my life.
And if there were a God, I think it very unlikely that He would have such an uneasy vanity as to be offended by those who doubt His existence~

The Government of the United States is in no sense founded on the Christian religion~
John Adams, 2nd President of the United States

Pray. Maybe the aliens will hear you~

That's OK, as long as you don't waste any Sunday morning sleeping time on it.
Greetings to planet HAF.

Welcome to the forums.

Do you need an explanation for how the planet got here? I mean keep searching and studying, but until you have enough evidence and understanding, why accept anything?
Always question all authorities because the authority you don't question is the most dangerous... except me, never question me.

Hi Hunterman,
I am new here myself.  You have some interesting ideas.  I don't think aliens created Earth -- seeded it maybe, though I don't know how we could prove that.  I am with you on the Big Bang though.  I lean more to Fred Hoyle's Steady State Universe, or some version of it.  And like you, I've never seen God.  :)

Hi hunternam317

Given you have just gone through a brutal realisation that your world view was a pile of poo I think you need to cut yourself some slack and just say that you don't know how we came about and give yourself some space to think. It is not necessary to know everything to function as a human being. In fact as no human knows everything it is a constant state of being for all of us. Try asking 10 questions before you make any assertions  :D

Welcome aboard.

Regards
Chris
