It said, in a commanding manner, "Introduce yourself". So, here goes...

-I'm in high school, going into grade 11
-I am a guy who plays flute, this is apparently a surprise to some people...
-I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (The middle of Canada for those who don't know)
-I am an atheist, and I have some pretty strong opinions against high-and-mighty religious people, especially christians (because they're the only religious group I really know anything about >.<) *glares at Moses for being a fick sucker; see moses & the midianites*
-I am technically inclined, good with computers, decent at math, you know, average geek type person...

So yeah, I'm introduced now. Feel free to PM me if anyone wants me to write my opinion about anything specific, I have some pretty ph34r-invoking arguments towards christianity...

Welcome to the forum.  I too, had to work through much hostility against religious people, maybe having a place like this where  atheism is the majority view, will help you find a balance.  High school is a tough stage of life for many.

Welcome to the forum... I sure do wish I'd realized I was an atheist early on like that.  I believe I was, but I was unwilling to make the commitment to actually CALL myself that.  Were you raised atheist or did you come to that conclusion on your own?

Welcome shoruke!  My family (dad's side) is from Manitoba (my Canadian heritage expresses itself in my love of hockey).  Oh, and I played clarinet in high school - I think there was only one other boy who did.  Who cares - wherever they seat you you're surrounded by girls, right?  Which is cool....

Please don't use L33t speak.  I'm too old and tired to decipher it.   :?

Aside from that, welcome to the forum!  I hope you enjoy your stay.   :)

Welcome to the forum shoroke. I must admit that I never heard from L33t speak until I googled it 5 minutes ago. Have mercy on me,  I'm just a humble software engineer not a h4x0r!

welcome, shoruke.

I, too, determined I was an atheist at a young age.  If I remember correctly, maybe younger than 16, but I'm not sure.  Also a band geek here, played trombone (I'm a boner!)

Good to have you around, hope you enjoy your stay

Hey thanks everyone! alright, I'll avoid my game-adapted netspeak and take pity on those who prefer english.
As to my childhood of religion, I was never really exposed to religion by my family, and never prayed at meals or before bedtime or anything... So, I guess I've been an atheist all my life, despite that I didn't know the word until grade 9, heh.
