Hello All,

My name is Morgan, I'm a 16 year old male and a junior in highschool. I also happen to be an Atheist
I'm doing a persuasive essay for my American Literature class, and it is supposed to be on national issues, (Abortion, Gay Marraige, Drug Abuse, etc.) and of course, I chose Atheism. The essay needs to support my beliefs as an Atheist, but also support Non-Atheist viewpoints as well. I wasn't brought up in a church environment, in fact, my dad is also an Atheist, but I did go to church in the middle of my 7th and 8th grade years.

I need help supporting the Christian side of things, realizing this is an Atheist forum, and a lot of you guys are older than I am, I figured you might be able to provide some background info.

I expect you're probably correct that multiple of us can help on that, though I wonder if you've reached out to any forums of believers to get the information more directly from the (varied) source(s)?

For this, though, you'll have to share quite a lot about your current research and paper focus so that 1: we know you're still doing the majority of the work, and 2: which position you are trying to take since on the believer side of things the bible alone can be used to justify just about any position you want it to without even getting into some of the extra-biblical cultural practices and beliefs that can go far further in both directions.

Yes, I actually had that thought myself. But, if I posted on a forum for believers I figure I would probably get more people trying to convert me than actual information (which is to be expecting considering the lack of factual evidence they have to support their claims;) )
