After spending most of my life as an agnostic...and several years a member of the Lutheran church...I have moved on.
I no longer believe in even the possibility of a God or Gods.

My agnostic belief was finally put to rest with the death of my father in 2007.
Since then I have been far more satisfied with this life than I ever have been before.

I'm 54, married to a wonderful woman who has always and still believes...
So let me just say, "Hello"... :)

My experience with the LCMS was a bit different. Not to get too far off topic, but the LCMS is fairly fundamentalist and puts itself into conservative politics often. Not only that, but they've got this strange "the way to get into heaven is through faith alone, works don't matter" which gets them out of the one positive thing about Christianity, that it can help immoral people act in a more moral manner by enticing them with positive reinforcement.

For those of you who were never religious or Lutheran and have no clue about the different caplitalized letters, what they mean and what the difference between them is - here you go:

Hopefully the information at that link is correct.  I have no idea, which is why I asked instead of went looking online in the first place.   :sigh:

Dude, what are you doing? This is the third thread I've seen you post this in.  Are you trying to make a point or just be annoying?
