Well, it's been 6 days since I even looked in here. The last three days had a heat index over 105f/40.5c. Today wasn't so bad...not as humid. But I'm tellin ya's...I so miss Michigan this time of year. A dip in Lake Superior would suit me fine.
I get cranky in this heat. I have to work in it all day. By the time I get home, all I want to do is get cold and sleep.
The essence of the mind is not in what it thinks, but how it thinks. Faith is the surrender of our mind; of reason and our skepticism to put all our trust or faith in someone or something that has no good evidence of itself. That is a sinister thing to me. Of all the supposed virtues, faith is not.

Some refer to the seasons in terms of how hot it is

January to February- Not so Hot

March to May - Hot

June to October - VERY F#$%IN HOT (as in blistering, turn you lobster red, instant dehydration HOT)

November to December - Huntin' Season!

In South Carolina where I grew up, we had four seasons, Summer, Huntin, Alergy, and Christmas..... Not in that order.

Does it not snow where you are?

Sometimes. Last winter there was a lot of snow, but usually it snows just a little bit and then rains.

Ah, but it depends on where in Norway you live. I live in the south west, and that's pretty much how it is here. I would expect there to be more snow north and east of Norway.

I hate to bump this old thread...but...the weather here finally broke. Well...at least to my standards. What a sucky summer! I put 0 miles on my motorcycle since the beginning of April. August had 30 days over 90f/32.2c and 22 days over 100f/37.7c. The hottest day was 107f/41.6c. And I work outside. And the truck A/C broken all summer.
Lucky for me I got a promotion and get to work in an air conditioned vehicle (most of the time) till I retire....which'll be at least the next ten years...*chucklin*

It's so nice to come home and not want to pass out.

Summer finally got here to SoCal, four days after it offically ended.  Sunday was 83F, and yesterday 94F.  Given that I live a fifteen-minute walk from the Pacific, these are very hot temps.  Today we're back down to 74F or so, which bums me out.
