TomThumb

I'm TomThumb in the place to be
I go to St. John's University
And since kinde-garten I acquired the knowledge
And after 12th grade I went straight to college
I'm light skinned, I live in Queens
And I love eatin chicken and collard greens

Hello, I do also like collard greens and chicken.

No one was wondering why TomThumb was banned.

What is your definition of 'sense'?  Can you give me an example of this with the contributions TomThumb made here?

To be fair I didn't agree with everything TomThumb said, but I think his belief that Dinosaurs are overgrown lizards is thought-provoking and merits further investigation.

Please Ned, please don't do anything to get banned! I really want you to stick around for awhile, okay?

So. Let's get going! Dinosaurs were overgrown lizards, said our departed Tom Thumb. Now then, how do you propose we investigate that idea further?

I think if having a belief about dinosaurs being overgrown lizards inspires someone to learn about evolutionary biology, then that's a good thing.  The belief itself is not something that merits respect, however, because it's a glaringly uneducated position to argue.  Also, Thumb didn't even construct an argument, he just made an assertion without any information to fully back up or explain his idea.  I disagree that this comment makes sense.  Can you give me information that explains the concept further?  Maybe I just don't fully understand the idea.

Not sure. I think I'll leave that to the scientific community.

But how can you be not sure when you yourself have said that the idea is thought provoking? Don't you have any thoughts on the matter, any at all?

Personally, I find the idea that Dinosaurs were overgrown lizards to be interesting, and my hunch is that it is the truth. However, I fully admit that I can't prove it, and wouldn't have the first idea about how to.

Also (and this isn't aimed at you personally), I think it would be a good idea for people to remember that this is an internet forum, not a Critique of Pure Reason. I think people should be allowed to suggest an idea without having to provide extensive references or footnotes.
