This is a neat website I stumbled across recently. It functions sort of like Wikipedia but for different purposes (data, etc.).

The poulation of my birth town has nearly doubled since my birth. Totaly useless info yet utterly facinating to me. Thank you sophus, this looks like a fun and interesting source.

I was watching for the Wolfram|Alpha release for a while before it officially was opened. The guy who developed it, Stephen Wolfram, wrote an amazing book called A New Kind of Science that the W|A concept is essentially based on. The Mathematica engine is absolutely astounding.  :blink:

The French and Swiss cartographers place it within France's boundaries on maps. That is what we also taught at school. The Italians however recently claimed that they own the Mont Blanc summit. Which basically means that it is a borderline case (figuratively and literally).
