QuoteA group of Chinese and Turkish evangelical explorers say they have found wooden remains on Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey.

Yeung Wing-Cheung, from the Noah's Ark Ministries International research team, said: "It's not 100 per cent that it is Noah's Ark, but we think it is 99.9 per cent that this is it."

Ah, how convenient, it was found by people who were specifically looking for it, funny how they have managed to confirm their own biases. I can't wait for the full dig to be finished, and some bright spark attempting to force 2 of every animal in there, should be hilarious. I wonder if, once it becomes obvious that it is not an ark, that our intrepid Christians release a similar press release to tell us about the false alarm?

If the Sun link is not enough for you, I have an even more concrete paper, one we know we can always trust

It's definitely the ark. Tapping on the wood proves it.

Haha, "Noah's Ark Ministries".  Next up, Tower of Babel Ministries discover a pile of bricks in some bloke's back garden in a dramatic archaeological confirmation of Genesis 11.

Things left to prove:

1. Not Gilgamesh's Ark.
2. Islam is not the truth.
3. Flood was not local.
4. All animals were on-board
5. If entire populations [re]began with a population of just 2, then why does the Cheetah suffer from extremely low genetic diversity while most Animals do not?

"Evangelical explorists"...mmmhmmmm, I am sure that is a great source for unbiased reaearch.  :headbang:

Let's see. You show me a bunch of pictures that are strangely on quality and content par as various sightings of UFOs, Nessy and Big Foot that I came across.
Other than that you discovered...
1% old wood.
1% old stone. In a damn mountainside, I might add.
2% the realization that radiocarbon dating suddenly becomes hip when it serves YOUR cause.
1% the dim hope that any of us will buy your shit if you saturate it with said radiocarbon dating news.
95% wishful thinking.

Curiously, that is pretty much the same proof %tage that you uphold for believing in your god, so I assume all is just fine in Jesusland.
Just don't expect any non-fundie to be impressed.
And GOD created the earth, covered with water by 70%, for man, who has no gills.

Hasn't the ark been "found" about a half dozen times already?

(my spelling, grammer, and punctuation suck, I know, but regardless of how much I read they haven't improved much since grade school. It's actually a bit of a family joke.

Yeah.  Surprisingly, it's really hard to find a vessel that never existed.

it's kind cool actually if you come to think about it.. Now, when the next movie regarding noah's ark is out, the digital graphics guys will be able to get a more accurate model of the ark..Imagine the preview guy (RIP Don) reading something like that.. "In a world full of sin there was one man and God's call to save all life (in pairs)..Noah's Ark! Digitally mastered out of the holy blueprint found in Noah's cabinet next to his monocle..
