THE FORBIDDEN TRUTH?

What is the historical truth about the Christian religion and the origin of the bible?
Giving that the bible was written by over 40 authors, we can see how it has evolved into the mess it is today. Some theists will stand by it as some sort of historical truth written by divine men giving written translations from the very lips of GOD himself.  I find this utterly rediculous if not proof of the fallacy of the book and it's written contents. Thus, creative writing does not make anything credible, especially when In fact the bible is poorly written, and that is being polite..The bible simply can not be considered credible to ever be considered a history book what-so-ever. This is to where at best, it represents a copy paste religion to which that much of what has been written was stolen from other far more ancient religions than Christianity itself. It also has more contradictions in it than I can even remember. In this regard, anyone that believes mosses parted the sea, believes the world flooded a thousand plus feet above sea level, or that anything in Genesis actually makes any sense is delusional.. The bible only has historical value to itself as a copy paste religion. The book can not literally be taken seriously as a historical account of anything other than a window into the mindset and average cultural lives of it's biblical era. So, I am going to address many of the scathing problems with Christianity, and where it obviously derived from.

Problematic issues with the Bible:

1) Genesis is completely wrong: This link includes a total rebuttal to a supposed "Christian professional scientist"

Science VS Genesis Part 1
Science VS Genesis Part 2

2) Plagiarism, contradiction, and unoriginality of the Bible

lets get into some fun stuff while we are at it.. Let's see how much you even know about your religion and why it's entirely false and a form of plagiarism, or at the very least a perfect example of a copy / paste religion.

3) One or More than one GOD?:

23. There is but one God
Deut 6:4
There is a plurality of gods
Gen 1:26/ Gen 3:22/ Gen 18:1-3/ 1 John 5:7

4) Jesus's Story Plagiarized / Copied and Pasted

The story of Jesus is plagiarized from other religions far more ancient than Christianity. This goes beyond Judaism. The bulk can be directly traced to Egyptian religion, and the worship of the sun god Horus, who happens to share many important features with Jesus. These features are so identical, the issue cannot be due to coincidence. This is not to say that Horus is the only Pagan god with similar features, but he is one of the most identical to Jesus. Others might be Mithra, Krishna, Dionysus, Attis, or Zoroaster.

CONCLUSION:

After reading and watching the videos, is Christianity a copy paste religion? Is it's story even original? Can we see a clear case of plagiarism? Well, to me it looks fairly copied and pasted to where it surely borderlines plagiarism.. At best we have a prime example of unoriginality of stolen concepts and ideas from ancient religions that include practices, and rituals. It's so blatantly obvious that it can not be ignored.. And the best part is that this shows religious evolution and religious speciation from ancient religions.

This looks like the end of religion as we have known it.

No doubt, I would love to see a theist even attempt to argue this  :pop:

Yes. No. Now go get yourself some ice cream. (Or a copy of the Golden Bough if you wish to study further.)

Heathen's Guide

I get into a lot of this stuff at work (professional atheist" ).  Here's the response I get from Xians...

They tell me that Satan controls this world.  As such, any proofs you can bring them in the way of archeology or history has been planted there by Satan.  They sincerely believe that it's all fake.

Inevitably, they get to telling me that I have been deluded by Satan, and that I have to stop and listen to them in order to be free of Satan's lies.

I sit and listen.  I then mercilessly tear their arguments apart, and expose the fallacies in their reasoning.

After that, they usually decide that I am either in league with Satan, or I am Satan.  There's really no way to convince them of anything.  You either agree with them, or you are evil.

"Faith" is by far the best invention the religious elite ever came up with to control people.

People actually believe you are satan? Man, that's so messed up.
QuoteI find it mistifying that in this age of information, some people still deny the scientific history of our existence.
