Hey everyone! I am excited to participate here! Just a few things about myself.

I am a 19 year old college student in Minnesota. I was raised with religion, but very relaxed. I feel like my previous attitudes were very average; i.e I believed in God when it was convenient. My boyfriend has really made me think about religion. If there's anything that just bugs the **** out of me now, it stems from religion. My hatred of that has forced me to abandon faith, and I am now in the process of refining my beliefs. Despite those dramatic two sentences, i find myself very open and respectful of others beliefs. I have quite a few very religious friends *albeit intelligent ones* and i love discussing their beliefs with them. My boyfriend is an incredibly avid atheist, the stereotypical kind that would have killed Jesus if he had had a chance.

Anyway, i am really looking forward to getting some other people's insight into atheism and world religion.

Haha, I don't know if a stereotypical atheist would necessarily kill Jesus if given the chance, but I get your point.  Welcome to the forum!  :D

I think most stereotypical atheists would kill Paul if we got the chance. He seems to be the guy in the NT who really massively screws up Jesus's teachings.
