There's like a buttload of gangs at this school. They all want me to join because I'm pretty good with a bow staff.

Overhyped and long-winded?  :D

I love Jiu-Jitsu, best martial art of all time IMHO. Here is a highlight from one of the best of all time:

At 2:20 Jacare's arm gets trapped in an armbar, and instead of tapping (and losing) he decides to let it break, fight off his opponent for the rest of the match with only one arm, and go on to win via points.

I hold my manhood cheaply.

Quote from: "McQ"I thought this thread was about painting pictures of your spouse. Why are you guys talking about Aikido, and jujitsu and other fighting stuff?

That stuff is Martial Arts. This thread is about Marital Arts. Geez!

You should watch the whole match.  While it was an awesome display of heart for Jacare to stay in the match after his arm broke (I would have tapped or run away crying) you still have to give it to Roger since Jacare was simply running away from Roger for the rest of the match IMO.

I agree, Roger got robbed. It was as much a failing of the rules/referees as it was a purposeful strategy of Jacare to not let Roger engage him (for quite a few minutes). Running out of bounds that many times should have a penalty; but the heart displayed by Jacare as his elbow exploded was jaw-dropping.

Overall a great match though, even if it should have gone to Roger. The triangle in the first few minutes was nice.

I am currently taking TaeKwonDo.  I started really late, I'm 47 right now and I just completed my last color belt test.  That puts me within six months of a possible black belt test.  I don't compete, mainly because I'm not interested in getting injured by the testosterone packed idiots who wnat nothing more than to injure someone - LOL!

I was taking Hapkido as well, which was fun until I realized I was spending way too much time between the two.  I have gotten in much better physical shape than I would otherwise, and it gives me a great workout three nights a week, as well as learning self defense.

BTW - I linked over from WWGHA - nice to meet everyone!
