Hello to all. I'm 56, have been an atheist for as  long as I can recall, but new to forums. I have never been able to muster the blind faith required to believe in a god of any kind, nor been able to understand those who could. Being here in the buckle of the bible belt, it's nearly impossible to find free-thinking, like-minded people, which I hope to do here. So, I'll close with that and keep reading these posts. Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the forums! You'll find many, many people with the similar mindset. I'm down in macon, by the way. There are a few of us southern atheists.  :D
