What's the point of twitpic?  Why not just shorten the url to wherever you normally keep images?

Well, a lot of people like it because it's one-stop shopping. Upload a picture and it automatically Tweets it. I use Pikchur.com so it posts to all my networks at once. Twitpic posts only to Twitter.
