For my proms, I rented the tuxes at Kohl's ( or maybe it was Goody's? ).  It was around $150 for the whole thing, maybe less.  I found smaller businesses to have worse prices and service, but your mileage may vary.

Limos are EXPENSIVE to rent.  E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E.  I think my friends paid almost $1,000 for the night.  It was between 4 couples, though, so the price was a little easier to manage.  I just went in my dad's Ford Expedition...  didn't stop me from enjoying the night  ;)

As far as dancing is concerned, most of the music they'll play will probably be electronica or hip hop...  And dancing to that is fairly easy.  Just listen to the bass drum, and move in time with it.  There's really nothing wrong with looking foolish, everyone will, and, if anything, it'll be endearing to your date that you're trying.  Laughing at yourself helps, if you don't do it too much.

Are you going to take her to see Terminator? :D

I think she's interested in seeing Angels & Demons, so I'll probably take her to see that.

Does she know you're a non-believer?  If not...I suggest avoiding the religion topic till after the prom.

I'm not really sure if she cares since I never hear her talk about religion.

Besides, I say I'm an atheist on my facebook so she could just look at it and find out anyway...

Ah, in that case, she might already know.

Sydney says she'll go see a movie with me on Sunday :) She says she'll watch any movie and that it doesn't matter to her. What movie do you guys think I should take her to? I did talk to Megan about what movies she wanted to watch and I remember her saying that Sydney wanted to see Angels and Demons.

Then go see Angels and Demons. If she says she'll see whatever you want she must think you're fun to hang out with.

Or since he is paying (?) she doesn't want to be the one deciding what the money is spent on.

A little late, but congratulations, Godless. You've done much better than I did in high school.

Hey, do you guys have any further advice for me when I take her out tomorrow? My cousin told me to put up the arm rest, sit down first, and put my arm across the back of her seat so it can be around her. I dunno about that though... would it make her feel uncomfortable?

When I was in high school the operable arm rest was a novelty so we alway put it up if we were at a theater which had them.

You could pull the old yawn routine to get your arm on the back of her seat lol...that is so not obvious  :P

Anyway, if you do something that makes her feel uncomfortable you should be able to tell by her body signals.

SektionTen

Haha, easy for you to say, Whitney. If I had a quarter for every time I misinterpreted a woman's body language...  :brick:

I always tried to be obvious about it...I would also just bluntly say; stop, I don't want you to do that.  I think the mixed body language comes from when her 'body' wants to do something but her mind tells her it is not a good idea.

Btw, men don't have to make the first move these days.
