I know that we have many talented members on the forum, i have seen the graphic design thread (very impressive, by the way). We also have a good number of talented musicians here, i am suggesting that we need a theme song. I am not sure what the musical HAF communities strengths are, if you can compose, or write, or even sing. Post your musical strength (or strengths) and we will see if we can get something going.  :D

Good idea.

I'm a singer in the Lyric Baritone range.

I also just got a Theremin (but I wouldn't expect me to play it just yet ;-)

I could also help with the lyrics if someone has a general theme in mind...

Theremin=cool and annoying at the same time. I'm jealous! Closest thing I've got to one is a Theremin App for my iPhone. Makes me want to go watch, "The Forbidden Planet".  What made you decide to give one of those a try, Joe?
Elvis didn't do no drugs!

How about.....

I'm a happy happy happy happy happy happy ATHEIST etc etc in a style like a Monty Python song in a silly voice with lots of energy.

Well, I tried piano, and have a guitar I started with.
Since I have an ear for music, I was hoping the Theremin would be more natural for me to learn.

Hoping to avoid "annoying" and go straight to "cool"!

BTW, I got a Burns B3 standard model - they run about $150.  Not quite a Moog, but pretty good for the price.

Another cool/annoying thing I ran into is the "drawdio" - turns any pencil into a type of drawing theremin.

I'd go with a more general XLR->USB interface.

If you've already got a pre-amp for your stuff or a mixing board, you can probably connect directly from there.

Lots of discussion about this on my other forum (are we allowed to post other forum links???)
PM me if you want the linky...

Yes, I'm not paranoid like the admins of some other forums who don't let people do that :)  I think I have at least a couple forums linked in my signature.

Kool Beanz!

Here's a link to the thread about XLR->USB converters:
http://www.voice-overs.com/forum/home-s ... r-usb.html

There are 3 mentioned in the $100-$200 range.
Shure, MicPort (pro), and MicMate (pro)

Haven't used any myself, but they look pretty cool,
