“You keen on knocking but you can’t come in.
Come back tomorrow and try again."

Wasn't there a song like this?  :P
If there is a God, I wanna give him a piece of my mind....but he doesn't wanna show himself.
Fuck.

Lilbeth

They can keep knocking.....No one home here....LOL!

Oh, I love it when people come knocking at our house. It's a perfect setup to completely screw with their heads.

I was thinking mow along the intellectual screwing that some folks are so good at...making them think and wonder and doubt. But I like your way much better! :P

I've got my copy of the Scripture according to FSM right next to the door.  They can come in a chat with me about that and I'll be more than happy to debate their bible.  I got nothin' but time when it comes to those doorbell-ringing interlopers.  I detest door-to-door evangelizing because they don't pay any attention to our "No Solicitors" sign.  THey feel it doesn't apply to them because they're not technically "selling" anything.

I had some Mormon doorbell-ringers here last week.  I shook their hands, asked them how they were doing, if they'd been witnessing for very long that day, offered them a drink and a cookie.  They handed me a pamphlet and I said, "Oh I'm sorry boys, I'm an atheist.  But thanks for stopping by anyway."  The looks on their faces were breathtaking.  :-)

Next time, I'm planning on answering the door in a robe with a piece of paper that says "vow of celibacy", then read it, look surprised as if you've presented the wrong paper and show them another piece of paper that says "vow of silence". Nod, smile, close door.
I want bad people to look forward to and celebrate the day I die, because if they don't, I'm not living up to my potential.

That is really, really brilliant!

Only on occassion do I ever get anyone at my door and it's usually JWs. I like to answer by opening the door slowly, looking suspiciously around, handing them a briefcase and muttering "It's about time you got here". Then I shut the door.

Last time I had JWs at my door, I was wearing an Alice Cooper T-shirt that had a guitar sticking in a rotting skull. They had one look at me and my T-Shirt and left without saying any word  :) .

You'd think a believer would have an easier time with door-knockers, but they tend to stick around and ask more probing questions to get more proof or something. Goodness, is anyone safe?!?
