I've just come back from skiing in the Italian Alps and thought i'd share some nice panoramas and pics of lenticular clouds :)

This panorama is Mont Blanc, an incredible mountain.

A lovely one of the mountain looming over the resort of La Roseire.

The first lenticular cloud i've ever seen in real life (as far as i can remember).

And another. Lenticular clouds are awesome.

If anyone knows of any sites where i can host the images without having to downscale them, i'd be very greatful. Unfortunately photobucket limits them to 1mb.

Beautiful - I've never seen lenticular clouds in person.

... they must be hiding UFO's in the Alps!

Cool pics, karadan.  Thanks for sharing.  :)

Thanks peeps!

Hehe, that cloud could be hiding an Independence day style craft, for sure!

Nice pics karadan.

[However it's so sad that the Alps (and many more mountains) are being raped by the ski resorts.  :upset: ]

Could be the 3rd peak is l'aiguille du clapet?

It's been years since I last went to the Alps

A good way to host your pics could be picasa. I use this one to stock my pics (99% of them are about climbing/mountains btw)
