Hi all,

I've seen posts from Christians on here, but a quick glance through the intros forum doesn't find any Christians introducing themselves.  I hope I'm not breaking any rules with this post  ;)

Anyways, I'm a Christian, late 20s, been Christian from age 7 or so. I'm mostly here for perspective - you guys appear to have a wide range of backgrounds and can probably provide some good challenges. (I'm actually working on a post requesting your help that I'll probably drop into the "Religion" forum in a day or two.)

So, glad to be here, and I look forward to chatting!

Hi!  I haven't seen many introductions from Christians either.  Mostly I have seen several drop-ins and attempts at converting us, which is fine but kind of futile.  It is nice to have access to information and debate though so Welcome!  I'll be looking forward to your post.

Everyone's welcome. There are several religious (theists and agnostic theists) people posting here, even a moderator.
I want bad people to look forward to and celebrate the day I die, because if they don't, I'm not living up to my potential.

Hiyas!  You're definitely in the right place -- we have several theists, even one who I think utilized this forum for their school work (presumably some theology course), if I correctly recall.  We love debate, of the honest and well-mannered variety, it keeps us honed and thinking rather than complacent.  And it also keeps us from getting bored, because I can tell you that if I didn't engage in conversation with theists I would spend almost all my computer time playing games.

Hi minstrelofc, welcome to the forum.  You just didn't see many theist intros because most of them never bothered to post one.  Thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself.

Yep, you're very welcome here. I'm not claiming to speak for anyone else, but I do tend to make fun of the theists who start preaching and spouting verses.

Hello, and welcome. Thanks for the introduction. I encourage you to read up on the forum information and rules, here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1522

That's just to familiarize yourself with the forum and rules. You'll find out a lot just by browsing too, and by interacting with others here. One thing you will learn if you don't already know is that atheists and agnostics are not people who worship the devil, or some other god, or who worship pagan gods. They simply do not believe in any gods. Kind of like a christian in this regard, as christians disbelieve in any other god but theirs. We are not angry with god, or otherwise troubled by a god. We simply don't believe that a god or gods exist.

Hope your time here is well spent.

This is a happy, generally civil, forum. There's a spectrum of belief here--enjoy exploring.
I even have moments of belief--I really revere Smokey Bear and Big Tex--Smokey is such a good steward and Big Tex is so frendly.
There's nothing wrong with ambivalence--is there?
