What religions are atheist?

I already have a question dealing with that.

I got the last question. Just have to edit and turn it in.

Well, I just edited it but haven't submitted it. I just don't think they're going to accept it. Not because it's on atheism but because it's supposed to be written for children, and I just don't know how to write like that.

I did thank those here in the closing 'cause I did use a suggestion or two but probably not in the vein the suggestions were intended for.

Submit it anyway. You spent the time doing it and so what if you don't get accepted at least you can ask for feedback. Or spend time refining it to be more child friendly just look at ladybird books if they have to be simple.

I did. I fully expect it to be rejected. I should know in a couple of days.

Quickest response I got. It was rejected. But they didn't tell me how I could fix it they just suggested for me to write a quiz on another subject. So, was it rejected because it was too adult (which they did state) or because it was atheist oriented? I can't ask the editor because that isn't allowed.

Makes me wonder. There are no atheist quizzes for children. Of course I really don't know how one would write one, either.

I think it was rejected because it's too adult.

Sorry, missed this but I write quizzes for kids a lot.  There's a whole difference of thinking styles and comprehension ability between a 5-yr and 17-yr old. Trying to write one quiz to cover that whole age range is an incredibly difficult task, for future assignments I really think you'd be best focusing on a much smaller age range.

Nam

Well, I copy/pasted it to my private (maintenanced mode since 2003) website and just wrote another quiz in its place. It took me a few hours and I'm sure it'll get rejected, too.

Let me give you an idea of what it's like to talk to a five year-old about god and religion when you've been an atheist all your life:
Kid: "Mom, what is that place?"
Mom: "A church."
Kid: "What's that?"
Mom: "A place where people go and pray."
Kid: "What is pray?"
Mom: "That's when people get down on their knees and talk to an invisible being."
Kid: "What!?"
Kid: "Where is the invisible being?"
Mom: "Some say he is in the clouds, up in the sky."
Kid: "What!?"
Days later...
Kid: "Mom, I don't think bunnies lay eggs, what is Easter?"
Mom: "Well, remember that invisible being I told you about?"
Kid: "Yes."
Mom: "Well, he had a son, and we, well...some people killed him...and..."
(He interrupts with a loud...)
Kid: "What!?"
(That's as far as that conversation went. He didn't ask anything else. I guess that's all he needed to know.)
Days later....
Kid: "I think this invisible being who lives in the clouds has powers."
Mom: "I don't think he does."
Kid: "Me neither."
Mom: "But you just said he did, are you saying he doesn't just because I think he doesn't?"
Kid: "Yes."
Mom: "You shouldn't do that. You can believe he has powers if you want to, you don't have to think the same way I do."
Kid: "OK, maybe the invisible being has powers like Deadpool."
Mom:"OK."

So far, I have only used the word church, not mosque, or temple. I haven't said, god, or Jesus. I haven't said Christianity, or Islam, etc. Keep it very simple for a five year-old--Just the basic idea, and give them space to explore.

But that would be so cool!   I would consider being a theist if god was supposed to be like Deadpool.

What religions are atheist?

There are atheistic religions like Buddhism, Jainism, parts of Hinduism, Taoism (though more a philosophy than a religion) hell, probably even Jediism.

And: http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2016/04/pastafarianism-is-satire-and-not-protected-religion-court-rules/

But the judge above said it wasn't a religion. I don't know what he's talking about. Noodles Unite!

I know that, but a good question to give kids. You make it a trick question where they are all atheist.
