The Crazy Uncle Argument

I've brought up something similar to this before and am conjuring it up again primarily for Mr. Titan:

If I have a nephew and wish to reward him for choosing to love me, but decide not to provide him with certain, 100%, absolute proof that I even exist... then I am insane! I leave it up to my brother (his father) to argue my existence. Meanwhile his mother, who has never seen me either) argues "No, no, no you don't have an uncle." Let's say the mother makes far more rational arguments than the father. Thus my poor nephew does not have faith enough to believe in me. As punishment for his rejection of me, his self proclaimed perfect Uncle, decide to murder him. Although his not believing in me would not be his error, it is my mistake for being absurd.

Now, had I given him proof of my existence I would be a bit more rational. However even with that I'm still wicked if I choose death as punishment for his inability to love me. After all I wouldn't love someone if they were so egotistic and psychotic. Be thankful your god's not real, he's a nasty character.

Of course I anticipate Titan's typical theistic response will be "God isn't the killer" or the one who damns the non believer to hell. Let's assume this is true. Then in his omnipotence he has allowed it to be done. If I kill you, I am a fiend. If I allow you to be killed and I am a vulnerable mortal, I am a coward. But, if I allow you to be killed and I am an all-powerful, supernatural, immortal then I am either very lazy or I am just as evil as the killer. From either aspect none of these characters demonstrate what love, or anything within a mile of resembling it, is. To counter this argument is, frankly, to dismiss his omnipotence or all lovingness.

This is a good argument. I've thought about this kind of thing, and I don't see how an all-knowing, logical god could send an atheist to hell, for believing in what seemed logical.

I always laugh when I see "god" and "logical" in the same sentence without the word "isn't" in between.  roflol
