Conservation of energy law broken?

Can someone explain this to me?  This is one of many videos related to generators of different kinds (usually water based) that can produce more than 100% output.

I can't explain how they get more energy out of it than is put into it, because, the narrator is correct. It won't happen. It may be a very effective system, and provide quite a bit of hot water instantly, but it can't make more energy than is input.

One of the people I've had the pleasure to know is a very bright guy by the name of Tom Napier. I met him at several meetings of PhACT (the Philadelphia Association for Critical Thinking). He has extensive background in investigating the claims of "Free Energy" devices (anything that puts out more energy than it takes in), and of the people who sell them.

By the way, I like the idea of that water heating system for industrial use. Perhaps it is more efficient than most heating units. I'd love to see a good comparative independent study on it. I love the idea of using rotors and pressure to heat the water.

McQ, thanks for the links.  I'll check them out.  The subject title was yellow-ish journalism on my part to make the sale.

I have been recently inspired by Tesla's free energy hypothesis.  Although he was never able to see this vision come to fruition, it still peaked my interest.  He was a fascinating and brilliant man.  Anyway, I am overly hopeful someone of equal brilliance will be inspired by him and produce something along his vision.

I still don't totally understand how such high pressure can be so seemingly easily acquired with the holes on the cylinder.  Do you understand what's going on?

The articles were very informative, thanks.  Although I got an A in physics in college (17 years ago), nothing sunk in.  Much like my calc classes, application of theorems in a real world situation continues to escape me.  I do usually support laws of physics, but frequently take the lazy approach.  That being said, physics has been tweaked (as the 2nd article states) with new discoveries.  I'm hopeful (maybe blindly) that there will be another tweak which will greatly benefit mankind and our planet.

There is a company in Ireland called 'Steorn' who claim to have created a free energy device by accident. Apparently it gives 80% more energy than you have to put in, which is a load of bollocks of course. It is just another company using lies to make a quick buck before someone independently verifies their device as a crock of shit (the first public show of the device conveniently came to nothing - problem with the stage lights apparently haha!).

Either that, or it works and we have to wipe the physics slate clean and start from scratch.

Warning:  I'm feeling a conspiracy theory coming on.

Let's say such technologies do exist that create more energy than required to run them by means of an undiscovered force or by tapping into another dimensions physics?  Would this information be suppressed by the most powerful force in our world (oil control)?  Might it be suppressed by governments who know the potential of weaponry that could be invented by such technology?  There are a number of potential enemies to such a technology if it did exist.

I really believe there is a potential revolutionary physics or other colossal discovery to be made that will get us closer to the truth.  Look at how our understanding of the universe has changed in the last 200 years or so.  The recently discovered Laws of Physics that have revolutionized our view of forces and matter such as gravity, conservation of mass-energy, thermodynamics and quantum mechanics.  At the times of their discoveries, they had to be mind blowing.  What if there is a new discovery that will not only change our understanding of the universe, but give us the knowledge to conquer it?
