Joe Actor,

I just happened to be on your website and noticed this:
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King (Video Game)     Roles TBA     Blizzard.(seriosly, Laetusatheos, no tag???)

How awesome is that? I spend a vast majority of my time* in the World of Warcraft. Considering that the Wrath of the Lich King expansion is going to be released November 11th, did you indeed do voice overs in the game? If so, can you tell me which voices you do, or are you under some sort of NDA until release? Are you credited?

Inquiring minds want to know.

* - I kid of course. The vast majority of my time is spent at work, playtime with my girls, and quality time with my wife. However, I do keep up with several friends and acquaintances in the World of Warcraft. And chating while exploring that world beats the telephone or email any day of the week.
Life in Lubbock, Texas taught me two things. One is that God loves
you and you're going to burn in hell. The other is that sex is the
most awful, dirty thing on the face of the earth and you should save
it for someone you love.

That is pretty cool.  Congrats Joe.

Do you think the average user would be able to figure it out? ----> http://www.phpbb3bbcodes.com/table-bbcode-t270.html

MikeyV

We are not average  users  :) I'll just use the code tag for tabular data.

How cool is that?!?!

Thanks for finding me, MikeyV ;-)

I'm Loken and Gatekeeper Krik'thir (among others) in WoW.

I also voiced a bunch of other games out this year and next, including Lex Luthor for Mortal Kombat.

Check out my 1-minute promo site if you'd like a peek at some other (somewhat secret) stuff:

I haven't played it either... I know if I do, I'll get hooked and it will be goodbye transcription.  LOL!  I'm too easily distracted.

Awesome! My warrior just got to Grizzly Hills, where the quest to seek you (Loken) out is. I haven't started the quest chain, but it's now top priority. If you haven't seen your in game likeness as Loken, check this out. Look at the screen shots. You are the ghostly looking guy.

As for Gatekeeper Krik'thir, here you are (check out the screen shot). I won't be seeing this for quite some time, as it's a high  level dungeon, and you are a boss. It will take at least 5 guys to take you out  :D

As long as I get to be president.

I introduced a friend of mine to it, and now he, his wife and their 9 year old son play :)

They don't call it World of Warcrack for nothin'.

Interestingly, President (Elect) Obama's co-chair for the FCC transition is a level 70 Tauren restoration Shaman on the Eitrigg server. Gamers in government, woo hoo!

I've already done the addicted to gaming thing... 16 years ago, when The Sierra Network (later, The ImagiNation Network) was born, PRE-web.  We dialed into a local Sprintnet number and paid $2/hr. to socialize, chat, play games, etc.  Later, $144/month.  I wracked up over $2,000 in debt on that network!  Luckily, before it got any worse (!!), I was hired as a Sysop and got an account for free and all I had to do was... play with people and tell rabblerousers to knock it off.  LOL!

Of course, the $2,000 was worth it in the end... I met my husband on that network and we got married 15 years ago.  We were featured on a C-Net Central piece AND on the Today's Show.  We brought Katie Couric to tears.   :D j

So... I really don't think I'm the person who should even try a FREE WoW account... because it won't be free for long, KWIM!

Cool!  So that's what I look like?!?!?

Thanks Fan Club President ;-)

My hooked game was a system called the Vectrex.  True-line graphics screen, portable, ton of fun.  Wish I'd kept it...

Playin' around,

Joe...have you voiced any of the characters in Halo?  My husband loves that game.

I never tried playing WoW since their monthly subscription fees are insanely high.  It does seem a lot like FableII which I started playing this week on xbox and like pretty well so far.

I've auditioned for Halo, but haven't landed a role... yet!

When you get in one of the halo games I want an autographed card of your character.  :D

I thought that it was too expensive at first too. But, at $15.00 per month, it's actually a pretty cheap form of entertainment.

I spend about $18.00 in just admission to a movie theater. That doesn't include snacks and drinks.

The average price for a just released top rated console games is $50.00. So, WoW is about $180.00 per year, which gets you about 3 console games per year.

The content is updated on a pretty consistent basis for free, except for the large expansions. There have only been 2 of those since I started playing on release day.

I stay connected with quite a few people I know, plus I've met so many people from other countries it's not even funny.

Besides, the escape it offers is much cheaper than a psychotherapist.  ;)

Yep. We're not sure exactly who Loken is. We just know that he's giving orders to the Thanes (Kings) of the Iron Dwarves. The Iron Dwarves are a race of dwarves that are friendly to no one. They fight the Horde and Alliance (the two playable factions) alike.

Krik'thir the Gatewatcher is one of 3 bosses in the Azjol-Nerub dungeon (instance). The reason you look like spiderish, is, well, you are. The Nerubians are a race of spider-like beings, and you are one of the bosses. They look like the bugs from Starship Troopers.

Quote from: "joeactor"Thanks Fan Club President ;-)

Awesome! I'll start setting up my cabinet right away!  ;)
