Quote from: "Roger Ebert"Sarah Palin seems giddy with her newfound power as a rabble-rouser. She's using her charm to stir crowds of supporters toward hate. Have you been listening? What frightens me is that she is inciting to violence, which is a felony. Why do I say this? Because supporters have been videotaped at her rallies, screaming "kill him!" "traitor!" "off with his head!" and "terrorist!" At one rally, they started screaming at an African-American TV cameraman, using the n-word. The Secret Service is investigating some of these threats.

Read the rest at The candidate as rabble-rouser, an editorial by Roger Ebert.  He has done a number of editorials regarding this year's election.  He is Catholic, if it matters.  I really respect what this man has to say... and he doesn't HAVE to say it.  He stands to lose readers but he says it anyway.

Thanks for posting this, rlrose.  It's amazing to me that someone like Sarah Palin has so much support.

You're very welcome... the devotion that woman has inspired is truly frightening.

Ugh, these people give the American name an even worse one than it already has. How primitive can you get? Calling a camera man the n-word? Really?

i was watching the Rachel Maddow Show last night and i have to agree with her in how ridiculous it is that McCain keeps saying "we're going to have a respectful campaign" and then changing his mind. Obama on the other hand quiets his crowds if they start booing.

here's a few more videos from msnbc : http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp ... 5#27171061
[size=85]So why does there only have to be one correct philosophy?
I don't wanna go and follow you just to end up like one of them
And why are you always telling me what you want me to believe?
I'd like to think that I can go my own way and meet you in the end
Go my own way and meet you in the end

Wanna know true irony?

Cindy McCain has said that Obama is running "the dirtiest campaign in American history."

Talk about blinders and head in the sand.  Geez.

Dumb politicians have always attract dumb followers. Nothing inspires stupid people more than hate messages. I'm just afraid that Palin opened a Pandora box that can no longer be closed. As a matter of fact I even fear for Obama's life. I believe that John McCain is a very decent person, but selecting Palin as his VP was a very big mistake.

Agreed. I think the decision process went something like this:

McCain: "Well, if we pick a politician, we're going to get crushed on the issues. Anybody got any ideas?"

It would have stopped there, but one of his advisor's children had just watched The Mighty Ducks the night before. And that's when things took a turn...

And now, if McCain/Palin gets in, we're all going to be doing this for the next four/eight years:
