Hi Jody, welcome to the forum.  Depending on where you live, you may be very surprised by how many free-thinkers are in your area.  Even here in Dallas/Fort Worth we have about 5 very active free-thought/atheist groups through www.meetup.com  I try to encourage anyone who feels lonely, wants to meet other free-thinkers etc to check out that site to see if there is a meetup in their area (or considering trying to start your own).
