Any artists out there?

To any HAF artists.

I need a picture painting/drawing. It's of a songbird in a cage, but the cage has no door, not an open door, but a gap the bird could leave through where the door should be. The cage needs to be by an obviously open window. The message of the picture is that the songbird stays in the cage through choice as it could leave at any time.

The picture needs to be minimalist and graphic as it's hopefully going to end up as somebodies avatar.

Would any of you like to have a go at it?

Thanks Chris.

Saw this online:

With a bit of adjustment, I've made it into a more traditionally shaped cage:

Cool! Thanks Dave.

I'd still like the open window in it though  ;D

I can try. Do you want color or b/w?

I'd like a colour one at full size, but I suspect that b/w might make a better avatar?

If I asked nicely could I have both?  ;D

Buddy

I have a very quick (and sloppy) sketch of what will be in the picture. I wanted to get a quick feel of the bird and where things are going to be placed. Taken with a cellphone camera, but I'll scan the finished version. The phone threw the pot portions off.

I was thinking of the bird in the cage, and the cage by the window.

I think Budhorse4's picture would convey much the same message, but I'd get rid of the cage altogether.

Meanwhile, here's one last attempt to put a bit of colour into mine:

That's what I am doing, but I've never drawn a bird before and I wanted to practice a bit before sticking it in the cage.

Actually Buddy's picture conveys the message better as the songbird is outside the cage but stays in the room!!

Here's another sketch that I added some color to.
