Hello and welcome to HAF, Marti. Christian Spiritualism looks like a fascinating faith. Does your family actually believe in things like the Zodiac Messages? I'd be interested in learning more, once you have your introductory 10 posts under your belt.

Closets, closets, closets, so many people thinking in closets while others share the fantasy in imposing buildings.  Big buildings built to constrain minds, closets that give freedom to think...

Hello Marti

That's deep ;D

I like big buildings, religious churches included, but I never thought about it that way. Never really associated it with the buildings per se.

Welcome. I was a Closeted atheist for quite some time myself.
It appears to me (whether rightly or wrongly) that direct arguments against Christianity and theism produce hardly any effect on the public; and freedom of thought is best promoted by the gradual illumination of men's minds which follows from the advance of science - Charles Darwin

I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the object of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own -- a god, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty. Neither can I believe that the individual survives the death of his body, although feeble souls harbor such thoughts through fear or ridiculous egotism. - Albert Einstein

Religion is a by product of fear. For much of human history, it may have been a necessary evil, but why was it more evil than necessary? Isn't killing people in the name of God a pretty good definition of insanity. - Arther C. Clarke

Faith means not wanting to know what is true. - Friedrich Nietzsche

Hi Marti

Good to see another young mind escape the comfort blanket of Institutionalised Superstitions (aka religion)

Welcome to HAF  ;D

Didn't Nietzsche have a sister called Fern?

I don't know, but it would seem odd to be called Fern in a German speaking country, seems to missing the 'das'.

I like the name "Fern".  Reminds me of the girl in Charlotte's Web.

What?

Oh yes!  Welcome Marti-Fern!  I hope you enjoy your time here!

Greetings, Marti-Fern!  I have to say the username is intriguing; please tell us more.  ;)

BTW the German word fern simply means 'far'.
