Hello! My name is Tina and I'm 20. I've been an atheist most of my life since the age of 8. I was Buddhist until my aunt/uncle/brother have showed me that Atheism was the way to go! I'm happily married to my husband (who's a baptist and has a religious family). My family knows what I am but my husband's family doesn't. Yet, we don't speak about religion in our family because it causes conflict with one another. Anyways....

I found this forum just out of curiosity on wanting to learn/discuss more about Atheism, so that I would have more knowledge on the subject just in case I need to back up my debate. Also, I would like to make friends with people like myself since all the people I know are believers.

Hi, tcharlton. Welcome. I can relate to your situation. I'm happily married to a Baptist as well. Although I don't think that she would call herself that. You know those Baptists who hate being identified with traditional Southern Baptists? That's her. We have gotten to a point to where we can talk about our religious differences a little, but usually it's tense, so we try not to.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the forum.
