I've asked that Monique Davis be fired. Feel free to contact her office to ask the same.

Bigotry's an ugly thing.
I want bad people to look forward to and celebrate the day I die, because if they don't, I'm not living up to my potential.

would something like http://www.petitiononline.com be a good place to start a petition then circle the link around various online communities?

Uh... yeah, das the one. I just emailed.

Online petitions carry all the weight of a balloon in the real world 99.9997(?) % of the time.

Can online petitions even be considered a official document in any way? I've always thought them to amount to jack shit.

But yeah sweet vid. Got a good laugh.
Me, my projects and random pictures, haha.

A dad on the Atheist Mom's Yahoo Group actually CALLED her office and spoke with her.  He said she was guarded but defended her statements and said she'd say them again.  She's farking clueless, that doof.  So much for representing her constituents.  Guess she has no non-believers in her district.

I hope they dump her ass outside the door.

Hey Msblue, thanks for posting this video.  Shocking stuff.

As a resident of the "Land of Lincoln", I can tell you from personal experience that theism in the legislature is becoming a serious issue.  At the beginning of this school year, a modification to a law called the "Student Prayer Act" went into effect requiring time for prayer and silent reflection at the beginning of each school day.  This law passed with both Republican and Democratic party support.  I see developments like this to be alarming.

I've written both my state senators on this and other matters.  From Sen. Dick Durban's office I've received good responses that seem to agree with my complaints.  From Sen. Barrack Obama's office I've received nothing --- I guess he has bigger fish to fry   ;)

We should be glad when people like Monique Davis show their true colors.  It brings attention to our issues like nothing else can.  How many of our legislators silently believe the same?
