True Confessions:  I kind of liked ICP when I was in high school.  I never, like, painted my face or called myself a Juggalo (Juggalette?) or anything, but in rural OH in the mid-90's that was heady stuff.  *Blush*

That's fine. It's the crazy, violent people who bury their babies in a hatchet man casket* who have the issues.

*Yes it happened. It's all over the internet.

I gotta tell ya... that sounds just awful.  I had friends who liked that crap.  I heard great malenko or whatever and said nah i'll just go ahead and stick to SOAD and slipknot.  Then a some kid I met said I should become one of the "Homies", which I guess means a fan of ICP.  No thanks.  I threw up a little in my mouth when I heard the malenko song.

Robert - yeah - not exactly proud of it.  LOL  Again, it's not like I was out there painting my face or anything like that, just kind of thought the music was funny and "cool."  Yikes.

Personally, I hate their music. Both in quality and content. And yes, people like that absolutely do not deserve to procreate.

Just judging by their appearance and the appearance of most other "juggalos" I would have to agree that they should not procreate. It is obviously not the fault of ICP in any way.  That would all be on the mother to not have the intelligence to figure out she is 6 months pregnant because of a drunken drugged out stupor.  I have seen other "Juggalos", however, and I must say that most of them should not procreate.  The last one I met, the one that said I should become a homie, told me he was a pagan. I said what the hell is that supposed to mean? He went on to tell me about Greek mythology and how he prays to Athena.  I just told him good luck on that religion nobody has believed in for a couple thousand years. I have only had one friend who was an ICP fan I could call normal.  He was actually intelligent. Haven't seen him in a few years I wonder if he would admit to it now!

That whole scene (not just ICP and the "Juggalos", but the baggy clothes, died hair, braids, et cetera) that's what passed for counter-culture in the midwest in the nineties.  I guess maybe it still does judging from the video Crow posted - I don't know, I haven't been back since '98.  In other parts of the country, you may have had kids that were into old school punk, or the mod scene, or whatever, but in the rural mid-west, the kids that wanted to separate themselves from the status quo were listening to stuff like ICP and Korn and dying their hair purple and wearing black clothes.  I'm torn on whether I think that means they should "never procreate."  LOL - It's not really that different from saying that old punks can't be parents.  I guess to me, the main thing is that no matter what you're into, whether it's ICP or the Misfits, when you have a kid, you have to grow up yourself.  As they say in my all time favorite movie, Overboard, "Darling, if you have a baby, you won't be the baby anymore!"  "Juggalos" that never grow up probably shouldn't procreate.  But honestly, anybody that never grows up probably shouldn't procreate.

Wooden spoons
When non-Spanish speakers use words and phrases like "chica" and "hasta manana" just to sound cool.

My eldest daughter hates wet wooden spoons!

YES!!!!!  That is the WORST!  To touch a dry wooden spoon is bad enough, but when they're wet?  *shudder*  Especially if someone wants you to taste something off of the spoon and put it in your mouth??  Eeeeeeee!

LOL - That's awesome, I never met anyone else who hates wooden spoons like I do.
So far you two are the only people I know with this particular 'phobia'.

No, I mean when you can't go two minutes without going into a coughing fit, not covering your mouth at all, then saying "I'm fine" when someone offers a cough drop. That's when you can choke in silence.

In the downtown area of where I live, at any given time there is a minimum of 20 juggalos hanging out at an intersection. Ugh!

I love all the irrational things that bug us! So funny. For example ... Wooden spoons.
