Hello everybody . I use the monniker of "teapotbishop" both for personal amusement (translate- no one else thinks its funny) and to slightly irk the scripture sluts (which is real easy) . My name is jimi but i guess you will call me what you find appropriate , swearing is permitted !  I was brought up in the cold turgid grip of catholicism and i think i was only 8 or 9 years old when i started to realise there was an overwhelming whiff of bullshit seeping between the lines . I dont hate "god" as you cannot hate something that does not exist . I do , however , hate being told there is a god by smug , self-righteous , fundamentalistic morons who are quite happy to think that their sunday morning session keeps them in Levi's and SUV's because they prayed to god to be looked over . They will then look at you in a perplexed manner when you point out that while "god" has been chaperoning them around he forgot about all the children who are being killed , abused and tortured in the world . With his busy schedule that week he was prayed to , god forgot about war , disease , famine and too much else to mention .  Every one of the holy books of scripture is brimming with slavery , murder , racism , infanticide , rape , torture and lies . What decent human being in their right-mind , would want to be involved in this abhorrent , intolerant waste of time . If you are preaching from a holy book then you are stealing oxygen from someone who really deserves it . I know i'm "preaching to the converted" (sorry , folks) , its just how i feel and where my atheism stems from .

From your post, it sounds like you think their imaginary god is doing a bad job.  Huh...you think believers would notice that sort of thing.   :roll:

I was relatively pleased to find that yesterday, when I got my first ever door knock god call, the lady was very nice when I said I dont believe and just said 'ok have a good day' and I responded similar.

Anyhow word homey. lol

(your not the only one that says stuff for personal amusement)
