Hello, I am new to the forum. But I guess that's a given since I am posting here first. I was raised in a family that was a flavor of Christianity. Recently, like in the last year, I have began to question some of the things that I have been told my entire life. The reason I joined this forum is to see what others have to say. And have some questions answered. Usually, I will poke around a new forum for a while and see if my question has already been answered.

Hello and welcome aboard!!! :) There's a very nice variety of people on here with a nice variety of thoughts, so I think you can get some good conversations going on any questions you care to ask.

Enjoy!!!

Flavour of christianity?
That phrase makes my tongue become restless and demand a cleansing glass of water.

That's OK though, water's good.

Welcome.  :)

Hello and welcome to HAF, lomfs24. It's true that if you search through past threads here, you're likely to find a discussion of just about any topic relating to questions about belief versus non-belief. There are some great threads here, in which people have spent a lot of time and energy to research sources and develop worthwhile expositions of their positions. Still, once you've graduated from the "Getting to Know You" section (more on that in a moment), feel free to ask your questions.

The flavor of Christianity that I was raised in was Jehovah's Witness.

I saw somewhere on this forum that it was suggested that I explain where I came to have the alias that I do. I suppose this is as good of place as any. lomfs24 comes from the movie "Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail" one of my all time favorite movies. Earlier in the movie they meet a man that tells them were to find the holy grail. Towards the end of the movie when the come to the bridge of death the quote was it's the "little old man from scene 24". Of course, the real quote is "it's the old man from scene 24" but when I made the alias a long time ago in my head I misquoted the phrase and ended up with "lomfs24". If you see that alias on any other forum it's probably me. I have not encountered a forum or website yet that said that alias was already taken.
