She's just a little girl isn't she?
Or has she grown up now?

Haha, she has grown up. She has been through at least one coke addiction and been arrested for shop lifting I believe.

As to the photos, they just go to show you what money can do. She is actually attractive in the photos. The last time I happened to see her pictures she looked like a crack whore someone would pick up for $10, knowing full well the medical bills afterwards would far exceed a clean hooker in Reno. They also either photoshopped her terrible boob job or she got them redone.

"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

I wouldn't consider that to be a sign of a grown up.

She is a person just like everyone else, we are all troubled in one way or another. I don't think there is any reason to laugh at her misfortunes.

People love train wrecks.

Tell me about it.  When Amy Winehouse popped off she turned into a saint pretty much overnight...

I didn't hear her described as a saint.
When she was alive I mostly heard of her as the but of jokes, I wasn't really into her music but I was uncomfortable with the jokes.
When she died her talent and the waste of it by early death was recognised by some.
I can't remember the last time I got to use the word bourgeois, but it seems to fit some of the detractors, some people just like putting pins in butterflies.
I imagine Winehouse's lifestyle somehow fed into her art, I'm not sure what LL's art is.

Quite true.

The problem people had with Amy Winehouse was that she wasted her talent.  She also had a flagrant disregard for the people who were paying for her music and hence her habits - many times she would turn up to a gig late and pissed as a mattress, forget melodies, forget lyrics, miss cues, and generally stumble about like an idiot while people have played top dollar to see her, then give the audience the finger and refuse to finish when she got heckled as a result.  I bought her first album and really enjoyed it - she had opportunites that many young musicians would give their right arm for and blew it.  That's her call I guess, but after she died anyone who dared mention that she was the architect of her own downfall was regarded by the mainstream as something of a boor.  Not speaking ill of the dead and all that, much like Tank alluded to.

I've always felt LL is very attractive...even in her down times.  I've seen the pics leaked on the internet and they seem "tasteful" for the person people make her out to be (and sometimes probably makes herself out to be too.)  What I saw was not X-rated or graphic porn...err...but I'm not sure I saw ALL the photos.

She hasn't don't x-rated things. And yes the playboy spread is very tasteful, and she looks good in the them. The old photos I'm talking about were simply taken while she was seriously into drugs. She was way to skinny to be attractive in my opinion at those times. I think there was a nip slip photo where she looks really strung out... Other than that, you haven't missed anything.
