EDITED TWICE READ BLUE TEXT

First of all I apologize for my attention-getting topic name. And next I want you to accept another apology of mine... any horrible grammar i type. Finally I want you all to understand the importance of my post.

i feel i need to possibly further explain myself.. the reason i threw this out there so oddly is because i have just been so bothered since and yes it is getting better but I just really wanted to express myself since it would make me feel better and possibly be used for greater purposes also and i just threw it out there as fast as i could with still trying to be as legitimate as i could at the same time

I have long been a christian and recently was fu**ed out of my arrogance. I want to spread the positives of atheism. I just recently tried to register on richarddawkins.net and couldn't figure out if it was possible to post a topic there or send him a message so decided why not type atheis forums lol. anyways i recently went through many struggles when i started to use logic instead of relying on false hope and thought I could have a chance to spread a brand new atheist qoute if, unless I was already beat to it but I know there are some just amazing atheist qoutes but one I want for the world to hear is this, and once again i am sorry for my poor grammar but please feel for me and just realise the beauty and point of this which I wish to be spread around and would love for my name to be qouted lol yes make your jokes haha i know i sound very immature and in a sence i am but just please listen to my point once again...

The Beauty of Atheism- We treat everyone the way we want to be treated not because of some religious weight on our shoulders but because we understand the good feelings of life and feel for others although we know these feelings are man-made but except the fact that everyone has these chemicals and treat others for the sake of being in there shoes for no reason other than man-made love which we could understand as treating everyone equally not only for a selfish reason in knowing this is how life continues but that we also feel for others for no damn reason other than placing our selves in there shoes and knowing there is no supernatural justice for doing so or not.

now once again i apologize for my poor grammar and spelling but i just feel this message should become one of the most famous and for reasons i am sure everyone will understand. wether or not it is qouted by me does make a difference but the reality of it is to me that it shows the beauty of atheims that we just feel for others for no damn reason other then pure love which is not forced but understood. and finally i think every atheist here for giving me a chance to be taken seriously even though my spelling and grammar at times might lead you to speculate that I am a creationist.

thanks and flying spaghetti monster bless you :)

Hi caleb

Couple of questions. How old are you? Is English a second language for you?

Thanks for making the effort to sign up and join in.

Welcome to HAF.

EDIT

Hey Tank :)
accidently called you christ at first lolol?

No english is not my my second language let is just say i am fortunate how i made it through high school lolol

I am 18  years old and have to admit i am a little embarressed but nothing much to bother me. please let me explain myself.

Probabbly 4 days ago I started to consider one of my friends arguments and did alot of research and realised i was simply being arrogant and ever since I have had a slight headache due to knowing that life in a way doesn't have justice and of course I am begginning to feel better and thanks goodness for people like ones on here and I realised before stating that qoute that we as humans must treat others the way we want to be treated not only order to maintain life but be happy and lets no mention I have always had compassion. but i just wanted to throw that out there just because I am sure it could be used in the relgious-atheist war. and i want to let everyone know i believe religion as being brainwashing and it has caused me alot of pain and i am not ashamed of at all to tell everyone here i called to my loving atheist friends crying and they showed nothing but passion and i love everyone here because of it and i am seriously tearing up right now.

thank everyone again for being so loving and understanding

I also forgot to add that I have trouble thinking straight since and that that is also a reason for me not being able to pronounce everything professionally which i know is common on forums if you wish to speak to me in any other way let me know on the forum and i'll talk to you through my email and also i would give you my number through email if necessary

Hi Caleb and welcome to HAF,

You don't need to apologise for your grammar, I could understand what you were trying to say fine.

So you became an atheist about 4 days ago. Do you come from an area in the world where atheism may be a problem amongst your local community or is the attitude rather laid back about atheism?

Well I live in texas and being an atheist wouldn't cause any problemns in my community lol. and and some other things about me is i have always never been serious but just love to joke around with friends and just have a damn good time. i was raised christian not strictly at all by my parents but they did shove it down my throat to believe in god but they had been brainwashed to it is not their fault. I believe we atheist have a big responsibility in that when we convince christians and other religions that their beliefs have been disproven we need to be loving because it can cause great stress, the night i learned i couldn't even sleep and i feel we need to be there for them and make sure they are alright.

Well, at least you aren't alone in Texas...there are a lot of atheists here in Texas and there are a good number of Texas members even here on HAF (though a couple of them are theists).  If you live near one of the bigger cities you could even find an atheist group on meetup.com (search for terms like atheist, secular, freethought, bright)  I'm in Dallas.

The Magic Pudding

Oh hello Caleb, the title did put me off a bit.
I thought it might be another along the lines of "Labradors wouldn't be safe to walk the street with you atheists about, not without the prison system."
Glad to see it's not, welcome.

caleb6828

lolol yea i just wanted it to get alot of attention. because i have seen alot of atheist qoutes and it seems they are lacking of a good reason to explain care for others, sure "care" or "love" might be man-made but we understand that everything living has feel-good chemicals and we care for them even though we have no punishment for not doing so.
