I miss the habit of switching to a discussion of shampoo whenever a faithhead started preaching.  That was fun.

I tried to resurrect this practice a month ago or so, but no one else seemed to bite.  :(
"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

Sorry, Juliet, I must have missed it.  I'll join in next time.

In the original formulation created by the sadly now mostly absent curiosityandthecat, the discussion should relate to men's shampoo. It helps if the following image is used:

Of course a general discussion of shampoo is acceptable, and even desirable, since the whole point is to derail the thread...
"Religion is fundamentally opposed to everything I hold in veneration — courage, clear thinking, honesty, fairness, and above all, love of the truth."

If religions were TV channels atheism is turning the TV off.

I think it was SuperiorEd, he tended to get a bit preachy from time to time.
