Happy with no god

Hi
Don't know if i am a typical atheist but let me tell you a bit about myself.
I have lived in West Yorkshire all my life. I work in a hospital repairing and servicing medical equipment.
I have not been brought up to believe in god, nor not believe in god, just the difference between right and wrong.
My hobbies
Anything Landrover, learning to ride a motorcycle, beer, wine, gym.
So why did i join HAF, well on my 16mile ride/drive to work all sorts of things come to mind, some i want to share.
So i guess i am a generally normal person just happen to be atheist. I am sure that some belive we are baby eating devil worshipers.
I don't know why people are so keen to put the details of their private life in public(Facebook). They forget that invisibility is a superpower."

Hi Happy with no god.

Your initials wouldn't be AL by any chance?

Welcome to HAF. Have a read around and then get stuck in :D

Regards
Chris

Hiya Happy, I read your post about the decision on a name and loved it; great name, great story. I think, perhaps, a lot of atheists start the way we did, without any instruction either way. I know with me that's why the idea of needing a dogma to have a code of ethics is so foreign; nobody needs to tell me if something is wrong, I know what to look for. If it hurts someone, it's wrong. So what type of motorbike do you ride? I have a Triumph, myself; 2003 Speedmaster.

I am one of those Christian types, but I do not think you eat babies or worship the devil. Welcome :)
